You can sell or trade in your vehicle entirely online and have it safely picked up contact-free. How Selling Your Vehicle Works: 1. Start by getting your free appraisal at www.vroom.com/sell and completing the form. We'll ask for your vehicle’s license plate or VIN, mileage, and any extra features, then send you a price. The price is good for 7 days or 250 additional miles (whichever comes first). 2. Next, you’ll upload pictures of your photo ID and registration (within the 7-day window) and our team will be in touch to discuss finalizing your deal. If you are selling your car to Vroom, your ID must be valid for at least 14 days from the date that you receive and sign your contracts. This is to allow sufficient time to complete the selling process. 3. We’ll schedule your free vehicle pick-up. All of this is still done from the comfort of your home. When the driver arrives to pick up your vehicle, they will give you proof of pick-up (e.g. a bill of lading), which you will send to Vroom. 4. The driver departs with the vehicle and notifies Vroom of the successful pick-up. 5. Last, we will send you a check via overnight mail within 2-3 business days from when we picked up the vehicle. At any point along the way, you can check your deal status by logging in at vroom.com/myaccount/login.

When your car has been picked up we’ll process your payment and send you a check within 2-3 business days via overnight mail. We will send you an email with tracking information when that check is sent. If there is a lien on your vehicle, we will send a check to the lienholder in the same timeframe, and also provide tracking information to you via email.

At this time, we are not purchasing vehicles subject to a lease. In order to sell your leased vehicle to Vroom, please complete one of the following options and then resubmit your vehicle for an updated appraisal price: Buy out your lease, satisfy the appropriate sales tax, and have the title reissued in your name to reflect you as the current owner. The new title must be in your possession for at least 14 days before reappraisal. OR If you are unable to buy out your lease, you can refinance your vehicle through your local credit union or bank. You may resubmit your vehicle for appraisal by Vroom once you are able to confirm that the vehicle registration is complete and reflects the new lienholder. Please note, your appraisal price is subject to change after resubmission.
